    Moultrie M100 TC Review

Thought this would be the best place to do a TC review. Here is a series of pics from my Moultrie M100 trying to show different scenarios that usually determine if a camera is good or not.

This shows good trigger speed and a high quality pic...

The next one demonstrates the quaility of a daytime pic as well as good trigger speed again...

The next one shows how the trigger speed holds up against quick and violent movement while at night...

Overall the camera has met my expectations and it seems Moultrie has stepped up their game this time around. I can say the battery life is at least average. However I am not exactly sure when the solar panel got disconnected and the camera was running off of the AA batteries. It did have about 6500 pics in 3 weeks with VERY minimal false triggers. 20 max. Amazing because it did catch a little sand twister come through so it does have enough sensitivity.

Definitely loving the new line of Moultries Corn Slinger. Just wish it wasnt taking pics of cows. I am thinking about selling my Truthcam 35 and spending the extra to try out the M80.

Matt, very impressed with the lack of false triggers. Big time step for Moultrie. That was my only downfall as I have not had near the problems with Moultries as many do. I have had the display go out in 1 D40 out of the last 5 or so years and customer service had me a new one in less than a week.

Also Matt, I know you love you some Primos Truthcams. My 35 has deer running when the camera takes pics. Then when an old Moultrie is at the same feeder they do not even notice a thing. In the Weimar area I do not see the Primos TC35's clunking noise being an issue but out west at our lease these deer are overly spooky.

Maybe for another thread but with 4+ cows around a protein feeder nonstop they will consume about 1500 lbs of protein in about 40 hours. Our landowner better upgrade our cable package!

Give it time, the clunk they will get used to. It is not as issue anymore. lol believe me they arent as spooky as our deer

Yeah the M80 is $119 and well worth it. Put 2 over feeder at new place, one on video/plot mode and 1 on pic mode. So will have sample videos also Sunday when I get back. The M80 is excellent, I just couldnt see spending that much more just for a color screen when I pull the SD card out and put a new one in and check pics at the house.

The wife surprised me with the M100 so that's why I got that one. Not gonna complain. Sometimes leaving the websites up that you visit is a good thing when your wife sees it!

Thanks for the review! I had issues with night time photos out of my Moultries last year and was about to drop some pretty serious coin on several Cuddys. I may give Moultrie another shot
