    Buckscore Software

Has anyone tried this yet? It is a software program that estimates the B&C score of your buck from photographs. I am thinking about downloading it when I have some time to mess with it.

I think I used it one time. You need to blow up the picture and it needs to be clear. If this is the one I used I think they base everything off the distance between the eyes being 4" than you plot the antlers and it calculates the score. I think. Test it out and let us know.

I have played with it. I scored a couple of bucks with it and depending on the pic I got a pretty large array of scores on the same bucks. It isn't perfect. I tried it to help with learning to score better on the hoof and in some ways it is helpful in that, I guess. Outside of putting a tape on alot of real horns it lets you somewhat simulate the process and get a feel for it.

I posted a couple pics of some bucks I scored with the software in this section of the forums. It'll be interesting to see what the green screen guessers come up with compared to what the software came up with and compared to my scientific wildazz guess method.
