What bow is everyone shooting

I am new to bow hunting. Does anyone have any recommendations for a compound bow? There are so many out there with so many bells and whistles. I am aware some of the better brands are Bowtech, Matthews and Hoyt, but that is all I know really. I don't want to spend over 500 dollars (I know that is not a lot, but I am new to the sport, and I want to preserve harmony in my marriage

I have a Nova too and still shoot it to this day. Never have bought anything else.

Hoyt Defiant (when it gets back from the bow doctor). Did shoot the Hoyt Ventum and Mathews V3X and neither of them felt “good” compared to my Defiant.

I shoot a quest radical. It is my first bow. I bought it because it was the first used bow in like new condition that I could afford that came up for sale a few months before season. It just so happens to be purple. Oh well. It’ll hunt.
