New to crossbows

I was recently given a 2015 Barnett jackal. I redone the center serving and it seems to shoot very well and the strings and cables look great. It was gently used. Is their anything in particular I need to worry about such as timing issues or string stretching? Any insight would be helpful as I’m new to messing with a crossbow.

While it seems lightly used, I would recommend you have a professional look it over and inspect the the string and limbs.
