    Ozonics vs others vs nothing?

Looking to pick up an ozone generator for dry washes in between hunts. tired of running the laundry for clothes that don't see blood.

I Like the setup of the ozonics Dri bag. The units have a dedicated dry wash function that pushes clean air through the bag after it treats with ozone. Prices seem to range from $450-$600 depending on the model (battery life, ozone emitted, etc) BUT their claim to fame is that it works in the field as well.

Then I see some scent crusher pop up closets and ozone generators. Does not seem as efficient as the ozonics and no field use but the closet itself is bigger and I see them right at $200

So is the ozonics worth the extra coin? Do they really work in the field?

Last year, I got busted by a doe before I got my Ozonics set up. Got it setup, another doe and buck came in the same spot that the first one did. They never spooked or got nervous.

Yep - I know they work based on having does and pigs running around my stand and down wind. Are they 100%, no but I do believe they help and are a tool for your hunting tool bag.

I'm with this guy. My first focus is playing the wind but ozone is just another tool to improve your chances.

I have an Ozonics unit (2 actually, one unopened and looking to sell! @Turbo6). Have ya'll noticed when you "dry wash" your camo, it has a distinct smell? It's like the Ozone creates a new scent. Nothing harsh or whatever, I use Dead Down Wind dryer sheets after I clean my clothes, but have used the Ozonics for dry "wash".

I have the mount, but have not run the Ozonics in the field yet.

I've noticed that as well. I find is goes away pretty quickly.

Soooo, I'm a cheapo and couldn't begin to comprehend spending $200+ dollars for a clothing closet with an ozone machine in it. So, I got on amazon and bought an ozone generator for $50, then onto walmart.com and ordered a clothing cabinet for $20 and had my own "scent crusher" closet for less then $100. It works great and I'd do it all over again before buying one with a name brand on it.

I did break down this year and bought a used Ozonics machine for in the field use, but haven't got to really test it out fully to see where I stand with it. I without a doubt am a firm believer in running my clothes under ozone in my closet before going hunting to get all the abnormal scent washed away. That has definitely been useful and a game changer the last couple seasons.

I bought a $75 ozone machine off ebay or amazon designed to be used in your house. I just put all my gear in a large tote and put that in their with it for about 10 mins. I have also been known to do it in a large trash bag. My thought process in purchasing was all about ozone volume produced. Those scent crusher setups are pretty mickey mouse compared to this thing. Those are designed to treat a few cubic feet. This thing is made to treat your freaking house. I use it in my truck too.

I've always put cedar clippings in a plastic tub with my hunting clothes. I'm thinking if I'm going to use an ozone generator in my pop up I should stop with the cedar cover scent. Wouldn't it be pointless to try to both cover my scent while also trying to eliminate it with the ozone?

I bought this one by ScentLok earlier this year. I have had very good results with it in the field. It disperses ozone 360 degree so I just put it right above me. I have had an Ozonics in the past and this one is just as good. The Scent Lok one is much easier to set up in the field.

Buy ScentLok OZ Radial EZ, Portable Ozone Generator (Black): Air Ionizers - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases

                      Beware Ozone will deteriorate elastic.

I'm on this train as well, I have the ozonics with the dri-wash bag, and dont leave home without it. Play the wind first and use the ozonic as a supplement to that. I had a doe in Missouri come from dead down wind, she never even knew I was there.

Sorry to hijack this thread but if you feed corn you need to try this product called vapple I’ve only found it online it’s cheap and it works by mixing in their product in your corn then using their cover scent that smells exactly like the corn had several deer come and sniff my popup while I was in it
