R vs L Helical

So what reason would you use left helical instead of right helical for fletchings. I understand the purpose of putting a slight helical on your fletchings but i dont see the difference between a right or a left one other than the direction the arrow would spin. I doubt you use a left helical for a left handed bow.

If shooting a compound you use right keep the points from unscrewing when they hit the target. Not a big deal but you have to check them after every shot. If shooting trad I've heard that it makes a difference on clearance from the riser.
