Black eagle arrows are a good arrow. And you can build from light to heavy.

If your a reader and like to learn as much as you can about this look up dr ashby. Lot of koolaid ashby drinkers on this sight. Me included. So doint get hung up on it. Just lots of good info
Like this says build for the not so good shots that you will make eventually, not for the ones that will work on perfect shot placement. A little stiffer spine and a little heavier than normal with a respectable FOC will give you a good, forgiving arrow.

Ok, so if I move to a 125 fixed BH what would a good spine and arrow weight combo in the Black Eagles? Like I said I shoot 65lbs.

I bought an entire set up from a TBH'r (Richard Walker) and it seems to shoot fine, but I think he shot at 70lbs, maybe a little longer draw length.

So I guess I'm just looking for advice, should I shoot a different arrow? I currently shoot GT XT Hunter 5575

The 300 Carnivore would be around 450 grains and. 17% FOC. This would be a pretty awesome set up out of your rig.

I'm a believer in the ontarger2 spine program. Doing just a fast look. Shooting a 29.5 inch arrow at 400 spine even with a 100 tip is weak. You need a 340 spine. If your going to look at a little more weight. Look at doing it with tip weight. You could look at a blackeagle carnivor 300 spine. Same 100 gn tip with 50 gn insert with arrow at 29.5 in. Foc is still at 14%. Depending on fletching it will be around 425 to 430.
If you want a little more foc. You could cut arrow to around 28 inch if your rest will work with this short of arrow with your draw. Now go to 125 tip same everything else above will put you around 16+% on foc and arrow will be around 435 to 445. This would be a good arrow.
These are just some ideals for arrows to look at.
You can not go wrong with the second arrow I stated. If this is something you want to look at. Get with muddyfuzzy. He will double check what I have done. Then make any adjustments needed. Then he will build you a heck if a set of arrows.

Looks like muddy posted as I was writing
