    It's only "outdated in a year or so" if you think it is outdated. I doubt it has any technology/software etc. that is going to downgrade/expire.

      I don't rifle hunt(or if I do it's very rarely) so I spend my money on archery equipment. I am currently shooting spott hogg hogg fathers, axcel armor tech 7 pins and an axcel accutouch. All high dollar but all high quality. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I want to make sure when I draw back on a grizzly in June my pins are intact and my sight is on. There are still plenty of sights that are in the $100-200 range. It's all about what's important to you and supply/demand. Just like you can kill a deer with a $200 Nikon scope and a $2000 night force. Both end up just as dead.

        buy what you want don't worry about what other people are willing to buy are my thoughts.

        I bought the trijicon sight when it came out . . . . . roughly same price.
