ive had it happen twice, my martin came apart My matthews survived. i have a new rule i let no one even pick up my bow, no one draws it i wont even draw another persons bow. ill et a person look and admire but when it comes to touching it not a chance. ive had people get upset but its my bow. i keep a couple cheap bows around if someone wants to shoot it or hold it but not my main bow

I mistakenly dry fired a bow at Bass Pro Shops once. I'd like to say the release was at fault, it intentionally did not have a trigger so it would not dry fire. But THWANNGGGGGGG! The guy freaked out and I felt like a dope. Nothing happened to the bow though.
