Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Just recently got back into archery after not shooting for about 10 years. I picked up a used Bear Attitude back in October and I love the bow. My neighbor and I started shooting together and we like to go out of our comfort zone and shooting long distance to improve accuracy and confidence at hunting distances. We shoot out to 80 to 100 yards pretty regular just to have fun. I saw this new peep on youtube http://www.3dpeepsight.com/ and it really intrigued me so I told my wife and ended up getting it in my stocking at Christmas. Have any of you GS guys tried this? I have read on other forums that some people have concerns with drawing the string back at a different point and possibly doing damage to the bow. Is there any truth to that? I have shot bows off and on all my life but I don't have alot of knowledge on this type of thing. Everything I know about archery has been either self taught or what my dad taught me. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing. I might see a possible issue on a dual cam bow with timing but with my bow being a single cam I don't see how it would hurt anything. I think I am going to head to the bow shop tonight or tomorrow and have it served in. If I don't like how it is performing I can just not use the upper d-loop and peep hole

I would think that it would mess with the cam timing. I spend lots of time on my bow making sure my cam timing is spot on. Having it even a little off will effect the arrows flight. At 40 yards or less you might not see it but at 100+ yards a little off at the bow can mean a lot off at the target.

New Peep
Ok. I'll see if I can get this to work. I shot the two D-loop set up with a mission Ballistic at 65# and 29". The bow had a whisker Biscuit. The original loop shot 1/2" high through paper. The string with two loops, shot from the bottom loop went 3/4" high. Now the interesting part. The two loop set up, shot from the top loop, arrow nocked in the bottom per the directions, shot a 3/4" LOW tear, and abot four inches high, at six feet. That's right, four inches high at SIX feet. I'm trying To post the pic. [IMG][/IMG]Last edited by Quackedup; 01-16-2015, 06:58 PM.

I saw a video of a guy using something similar to this shooting an arrow out to 300 yards. In the video he mentions that he had to use a different anchor point when he added the second peep to his string. From what I gathered from the video he used his regular anchor and peep out to 200 yards. You may be able to find the video on youtube.

the one thing that looks really scary with the two d-loops is that the arrow nock is at a much steeper angle to the string and if you are shooting with a worn out nock, what's the risk of the arrow from coming off the string prior to firing...just something to think about
just looking at the pic on their website. that arrow is at a very steep angle
