    Z7 ibo

Shooting 68lb 30 inch draw 340g Easton Axis arrow I'm running 273. Feel like that is a little slow considering IBO is 333. Any suggestions on more speed?

    Seems slow to me too.

Dang...and you are shooting about as light of an arrow as you can shoot. Very strange

Are you sure your arrow only weighs 340 grains? If I remember correctly the axis arrows weigh a little more than my maxima reds, and at 2 inches longer yours should weigh a bit more than my arrow, mine is 432.

He probably means a 340 spine arrow that is going to weigh considerably more.

That's about what mine shot a 428 grain arrow at 71lbs and 29" draw.

My Prodigy on the comfort setting at 76lbs is only 285 with the same exact arrow so I think your ok with that speed.

Makes a lot more sense. Yeah at a 30 in. draw those will be fairly heavy.

Ya 340 spine at 9.5 gpi. Love the way the bow shoots just thought it was a little slow. I guess it's about right. How much faster would it be at 73lbs?

That's about right for that bow.

You'll gain a few fps by turning it up to 73 but loose a little in the ease of shooting.

If you shoot the bow well, group well, and the bow is quiet, just work on your consistency, that set up will kill anything in North America.

I shoot a DXT with gold tip velocity XT 300 8.5gpi and 75 grain broadheads. 72lbs @ 30" (maxed out) and I'm hitting in the 305-310 fps range. Also I have a QAD drop away rest and cut my arrows down to 28.5". The DXT IBO is 326
