    Drop away vs Whisker Biscuit

I've been using the Whisker Biscuit rest since I started shooting bows about 2 years.

Today I bought a used Trophy Ridge revolution. Took it to On Target Archery in Canton,TX.

Buck set it up for me.

I was curious about how many FPS I'd gain. I was going forb3. He used the same arrow. It's my heaviest at 453.8 grains.

    Whisker Biscuit 277.8 fps
    TR Revolution 278.9 fps.

    Why switch?
I want to try a Helical Fletching out. Like maybe a 3" or 4" with 6°.....

I shoot 6degree helical thru a wb. 2" vanes. Ive shot 4" with same. No problems. Helical does make my fixed blades better

How much speed you lose from the helical going through the WB?

Not enough to care. Which is the same amount you lose from a WB.

Holy cow that's a lot. 1.1 fps lost. Just kidding. I get that much variance just shooting through the chrono. I think if your happy with the whisker biscuit. I would not change. Maybe I need to look at that my self. The simplicity of the whisker biscuit was genius.

My whisker biscuit was much noisier than my drop away. Both have their positives in my eye.

Don't they have some type of silicon spray for that

Ya'll can keep all those Drop-aways! Been using a Biscuit for about 11yrs now and after all the DROP-AWAY malfunctions I've seen on hunts through those years I'll keep shooting my WB rest. Shoot smooth finish arrows and good fletchings and no problems. Every now and then I do spray mine with some Biscuit Venom spray and rub a Q-tip around in it at the beginning of a hunting trip!

That's what they make QTips for.

                      WB for me.
I like knowing my arrow won't fall off the rest especially when stalking

The finish on the arrow is what makes it noisy.

Love shooting through my WB. All this talk about noise, y'all must have some super hearing or something. Mine makes zero noise and the dead deer don't seem to mind

Maybe you should see what happens when you shoot at live deer
