    New Strings

Today I had the pleasure of meeting gmotsu23. For those that haven't heard, he works on bows and tunes them as well.

I have read several threads on here where other members have had their bows tuned by him. I sent him a PM about replacing the strings on my bow and tuning it.

Now let me tell you this, you can sit there and watch him work on your bow, you can even ask him questions about it. He will gladly answer your questions and doesn't mind explaining it to you

Well I was a little worried about changing the strings during season. I didn't know if it would cause me to have to make a ton of adjustments to my bow. After expressing my concern about it, Greg assured me that any adjustments would be minimal if need be.

Before putting my new string on, he checked my old ones. They had stretched by 1/2 inch and gave up 3 pounds of draw weight. After replacing my strings and making sure everything was in tune, it was time to shoot through paper.

Keep in mind that this was the first shot, after he replaced my string and tuned my bow.

Folks if you are anywhere close to the Houston area, you would be doing your bow a great service to let gmotsu23 tune it up.

It was sure nice to meet you today and thank you again for fixing me up.

Sir it was a pleasure being able to help you as well and I definitely appreciate the review. It's great seeing and helping people who are willing to learn and take the time to understand their equipment better. I appreciate your business and will look forward to hearing how the rest of your season goes!
