240fps / Rage 2???

I have shot 2 deer with my rig and neither had pass through. I am using Rage 2 broadheads on 28" gold tips 330gpi total, 27" dl and 60# pull shooting 240fps...wondering if I have the wrong mech head or need to go with fixed blades and be done.???

Go with the 40 KE or fixed blade.

No that's not enough. If you want To shoot Rage, maybe try the 40ke. But, I'd probably stick with a fixed blade.

Go with a fixed head. Stingers will work great

Get a good cut on contact head like the Magnus stinger as mentioned or the Griz trick. A smaller cutting diameter mechanical should work better also.

QAD Exodus with the swept blades.

I'm shooting a similar set up and don't get pass throughs. I have however achieved them with the 40KEs. Nothing wrong with a good 2 blade such as the stinger or a small 4 blade such as slick trick.

It will eat your speed even more. You might get to 235 if you add point weight. A sharp fixed blade BH tucked in behind the front leg should pass through. I think your issue is the hatchet killing your momentum upon impact.
