Ramcats are my go to head. I can't hold 5 in my quiver, so I have two swhackers in the 2 and 4 hole, but I'm thinking about switching to ulmer edges as a backup. Either way, I doubt they'll see much use with the ramcats around.

If you're feeling feisty, you can also switch out the Ramcat 100gr blades for 125s and get a 1 1/2 cutting diameter. Only weighs 9 grains more, and I haven't noticed any difference in flight.

        ramcats?

A local archery shop owner told me today that ramcats were basically a one
shot deal, because blades were flimsy. I can't pay that much for a one shot broad head. I've been using slick tricks for years, and shot one (by accident) through my out building wall, then through expanded metal deer stand inside
the outbuilding. broke through the expanded metal. I took it out and kept using it. That tells you about the toughness of a slick trick. Somebody please tell me
if this is true about the ram cat. I like the penetration tests I've seen, but will not buy a "one and done" broad head.
        thanks

Been using Shwackers for about three years now and been happy with em so far, but this year I switched over to Slick Tricks and you want a good reliable, reusable BH! Wow, shot three hogs with the same one and ran the blades through the worksharp and they are like brand new BH's.

He is wrong....shot three pigs with the same Ramcat last year. You will bend blades at times but def not a one shot head. You can buy a pack of replacement blades off ebay or amazon for around 13-16$

That dealer does not know what he is talking about when it comes to Ramcats and you can tell him I said that. Yes the blades will bend on some occasions, but not all the time and the blades are easy to replace or re-sharpen.

I shot an absolute pile of animals with the t3. I shoot the hypodermic and real happy but I really like the blade sharpness, blade retention and performance of the t3. the new shock collar on rages is what brought me back otherwise i'd still be shooting a t3.

RamCats for the third year now and no complaints.

I shoot the 1.5" cut 125's and while they do bend a blade or two, I consider this a small part of what it cost to deer hunt. The replacement blades or fairly cheap so I simply replace them after each shot regardless of condition. Having said that, I don't kill more than 6-8 animals per year including hogs.

If I was in the market for an exandable, I believe it would be the Hypodermic.

I shot a buck on opening day using a T3 head. The arrow passed thru but when I recovered the arrow, one blade was broken off and another horribly bent. I went and got me some Ram Cats. I haven't shot anything else this year but I have to say I have a lot more confidence in them than I do in the T3's. BTW the T3's were attached to Pile Driver 350 Pass Thru's @28" cut.
