    4 finger release recommendations

Looking to get a 4 finger release and have been looking at the Tru Ball Fang 4 finger. Anyone have any experience with them? Also wanting to know any other recommendations for other good 4 fingers for a someone new to them.

I went straight from a cheap wrist strap release to a Carter Target 4 and it is great! Groupings got much tighter and with that so did the confidence level.

Just picking one out of a catalog, because it looks cool, doesn't mean that it's the right one for you.

It's going to depend on the size of your paws.

      They come in all sizes.

      Quality manufacturers:
      Carter
      Scott
      Stan
      Tru-Ball

      All make really good releases.

Go hit up a shop, get some guidance on proper fit and use. Try out as many as you can. Find the one that feels like it "belongs" in your hand and you've found the one to take home.

I just picked up a Hot Shot Eclipse. Pretty dang solid release IMO. Still getting used to it though.

I have the fang four finger and shoot well with it. That being said I am waiting till next season to hunt with it because I don't feel I have enough trigger time with it yet. I have had zero malfunctions or have any negative feelings about my purchase love the light trigger.

The TruFire Edge is a really good release, for someone just starting with a 4 finger I like to recommend the TruFire Hunter 3D.

I just bought a Tru-Fire Hardcore Revolution and I love it.

My only other experience has been with a Tru-Ball T Handle. The Hardcore has a ton of adjustability. The edge seemed nice, I just couldn't get used to the pulling motion of the trigger.

Whatever you buy, try it out beforehand. Whether its bringing your bow, or taking a piece of rope and testing it by holding it in your offhand.

Can't say enough about the Carter Chocolate Addiction 4 finger. No fuss, no muss, just good solid release.

This or a Carter Hammer if your hand is on the large side.. The Hammer was my choice for hunting and 3D..
