    Arrow sping question

    Hey guys,

Got a question for you experts...Got my new Xpedition Xplorer and love the bow. Been alternating with some older Carbon Express Blue Streak 250 (.413 spine) and some Gold Tip Hunters with a 500 spine. The only thing that is different is slight difference in spine (same length). The Carbon Express are amazingly tighter grouping. But, according to the charts the Gold Tips should be shooting better (correct spine). Any explanation for this? And, yes, the bow is tuned.

Different arrows, different spine and probably different arrow weights. Just because the "book" says the spine is correct does not mean it will fly well. your bow is tuned for one arrow and one arrow spine only, not 2.

There's all kinds of things to take in account.
One that I learned about is the FOC, Front of center. Different arrows, different FOC.
Arrow front of center (FOC) can be an important concept for the target archer and bowhunter. Having a proper FOC will help increase arrow stability, accuracy and penetration. -Pulled from http://archerycalculator.com/arrow-f...oc-calculator/
