    Arrow wt or draw wt

    Which effects speed more?

    #2
Well. 5 pounds of draw weight is 10 fps. 3 grains equals 1 fps.

    Both are approx.

5 pounds and 30 grains will be approx 18-22fps depending on the bow.

So if i dropped 5# and lightened my arrow by 25gr it will still be slower by that much?

I think y'all are talking at cross purposes there. If you drop 5# , you lose a little speed. If you drop your arrow weight, you gain some or all of it back. Don't you ?

Hell I was in a meeting and I got some jr high crap goin on at work!!! My bad. So you are dropping weight???

Ok. 5 pounds will drop you 10fps. (8-12)

Dropping 30 grains will pick up 10 fps. (8-12)

No yes it will cancel each other out on speed.
