    RipCord SOS

The recommended way to attach the cord to the limb requires a football and a rubber adhesive piece that secures your cord around your limb. Would it be possible to just tie your cord around the limb like you would a Pro V with out the football clamp?

I'm sure that'd be fine. As long as the knot stays secured it's performing the same function as the football.

Yes I'm sure that would work because that is the way you attach the cord for the G5 Cmax rest as well (Tied that is)

The cord never would hold enough tension for proper operation. After a couple of shots, would need to be retied. Maybe it was me!

You have to use the clamp to get it to work properly. And there is a new clamp other than the football. Might want to call rip cord if you don't have the new one. Good luck.

Well does it work well when installed properly. Like quiet easy to tune

I had a rip cord a few years back and had no issues. My dad had been running the same one on his z7 since with no issues.

We never used the football, tied directly into the string.

The sos doesn't work like the code red.

Sorry, I had no idea that sos was a model, I thought you were referring to same ole ....

I had the code red which didn't use a football.

The sos can be limb driven or works off the up cable.

Installed mine this afternoon. Overall I like the rest, unfortunately it didn't fix my problem so I don't know that I'll keep it.

Upsides: solidly built, easy to adjust, easy to install, pre-cocked without drawing feature is nice.
Downsides: I can feel the cord tap my hand when I fire the bow, when you let down essentially your arrow is going somewhere, it isn't contained, if you're VERY gentle you can get it to seat in the little arrow basket on the shelf, but most times it just falls off the side.

I ordered a red on one to match my cams. So it'll be a week or more before I get mine.
