    rewrap or glue on vane?

Basic question but I've never had to deal with it before. One vane tore off of a wrapped carbon arrow. Can I just glue on a replacement or do I need to replace the wrap?

I usually strip, re wrap and refletch.

You may be able to get it back on but I would make it a practice arrow until you rewrap and fletch.

If the arrow is a practice arrow, just glue a replacement on. It won't look perfect, but if your bow is tuned, it won't affect flight much.

Agree with above. For practice arrows you'll never know. I usually very carefully remove old glue then glue a new vane in its place. Rewrapping for every popped fletch is expensive.

Granted, I only get about 2 inch groups at 25 yards: anytime I mess up a vane, I use the heat shrink vanes from Cabellas or academy. My groups don't get any better or worse and they work out economically for me.
