I am currently getting ready to purchase a hoyt faktor. I shot several bow this year to make this choice. The question I have is which faktor should I purchase. I shot a faktor 30 at 290fps. 70# 26.5 dl 360grains. If I get the faktor 30 or turbo I will be on the short side of the #2cam (inefficient). If I buy the faktor 34 I will be at the top of the #1 cam. (Efficient). What is going to produce the most speed between the three bow.

Personally I'd go with the 34. You get max potential out of the #1 cam on E mod than the B mod on #2 cam on the 30 and turbo. Just did this test on 28" on Carbon Spyder turbo #2 cam E mod, Turbo #3 cam A mod, and 34 #2 cam C mod. The 34 #2 cam was only 2fps slower than the #3 Turbo and 7fps slower than #2 Turbo. To me the 34 was better fit with slightly longer ata and BH yet it's still plenty short enough ata for hunting.

Even with short draw my wife 25.5" went with a Vector Turbo 35" ata not because of speed but just cause she liked the string angle at full draw to rest her nose on it vs the short 30" bows where she had to tilt her head forward alittle to rest nose on string. Something to think about. At end of the day there's really only about 10fps between the 3 bows regardless of cam setup. Ask the deer if they can tell a difference. I'd rather have a bow I'm comfortable with personally and have full confidence in it and also easy to transition to another bow with similar specs (3D Bow) if you have an extra.

Sounds good. I do shoot a ripcord drop away. I am just trying to make the right choice I don't buy a new bow every year like some. Also it would be easy if I could shoot everything but bow shops don't order in #1 cams. It sucks having a short draw but its what I have to deal with. My bow shop is telling me the same thing you are but its nice to hear it from a second guy. Also I am mostly concerned with speed for flat trajectory not penetration or hunting. I never shoot past 30yds at game. I do have thoughts of maybe hunting bigger game than whitetails so I wanna be prepared for that as well.
