Peep sights

I am going to get a new peep sight and move down to a 3/16 peep. I have pretty well decided on the G5 meta, and my question was how difficult is it to install your own peep. I have very limited experience, but am willing to give it a shot.
Also are there any drawbacks other then lowlight when going from a 1/4 inch to a 3/16 peep? Thanks all

Peeps will always affect you in low light conditions I quit using peeps a long time ago and you can buy. String splitter if your bow already has a peep in it and is served in place it's even easier they should sell the splitter at academy or google it and you should be able to find a retailer that sells them online

I had a string splitter cut 3-4 strands when I tried to use it 4-5 years ago or so. I won't use one again.

Do you recall what brand your splitter was?

Peep size should match your pin guard, imo. If you look through your peep it should be the same size as your guard.

Put the bow in a press to change it out and have someone help you get it lined up right.

That is what I think.

It's not difficult- but at times it ain't easy either. I use a 1/4 Meta, my front ring fits perfect. My problem is the sight is either too high or too low- or it doesn't roll and line up. Lot of guesswork and experimentation. Best way I've found is to press the bow, insert peep, unpress and tie.

My sight has a small housing, so 1/4 inch is a little large. With the guardian I can simply back out the limb bolts to loosen it so I might end up doing that. Thanks for the input all

If you have someone to help, you can change it out at full draw, there is very little weight on the string at full draw.
