    asymmetrical fletching

I'm finally upgrading from my ancient MQ32 to a Z7 and will have to build some arrows for it.
I saw a segment on a hunting show recently talking about helical twist and offsetting one fletching an inch forward of the others to make a short fletching shoot like a long fletching.
Makes sense to me but then I thought what about shooting it through mesh?
No problem, or should I not waste my time?

still has the same amount of surface area plus the fletching has more influence (leverage) the closer it is to the nock anyway. i'm gonna call bunk on that one.

I've seen 2-3 folks set up like that years ago. At average hunting distance I don't think it would be all that beneficial IF it did anything in the first place.

I have seen it but never tried it.

First time I saw it I thought it was some type of first timer screw up until I noticed all of his arrows were fletched the same way

The guy's at Spott Hogg did a test on this with a shooting machine several years ago. It made no difference at all. Several years ago, a guy showed up at the ASA Pro-Am in Paris with his done this way. Sure messed with a lot of guy's heads.
