I'm in the market to replace my bow. I'm waiting on a friend to come up with the rest of the cash for my old bow, which I know isn't guaranteed, but I need to be ready to pull the trigger should he actually come through. I will looking at Mathews as they have been my bow of choice since 2004 but plan to shoot some Hoyt and PSE bows as well. I would like to try out the new Darton line but need to locate a local dealer. What other brands have the quality, reliability and shootability of the top three manufacturers and are as quiet and smooth? For me a hunting bow has to be relatively quiet and smooth to draw. I'm all for buying the best I can afford but if I can find a bow that flies under the radar I will give it a try.
