    Muzzy MX-3??

How are these broadheads? Bought them for my wife to start hunting with. Wanted slick tricks but academy didn't have them. Also what's a good broadhead for women, either fixed o mechanical???

Don't see how sex figures into broad heads.unless it comes down to draw weight/ or ke / arrow speed

Draw weight is exactly what I'm talkin about. Have heard mechanical isn't good for low draw weights. Must have fixed for better penetration.

She wants to shoot mine (rage hypodermics) but I don't know how they'd perform on a low draw weight

I have shot mx3s for several years. Solid broadhead and they sell them all over. Zero complaints.

Shot mx-3s before I went to phantom mx-4s both are awesome bone crushing and great penetration. Have had pass throughs with both except on a buck I spined and hog that got shot in the ear. Was thinking about getting mx-3s for my wife also. What draw weight is your wife and draw length. How heavy are her arrows?

She's only pulling 30lbs at 23" draw right now. Shooting beaman ics 500 spine arrows

That's not much poundage, even for the 40KE. I'd recommend you stay with the Muzzy's or better yet the Slick Tricks

Go with a cut on contact head. Yes a head placed in the right spot will work but she will get much better results with a cut on contact. Heads to check out are/but not limited to

                        Magnus Stinger
                        Viper Trick
                        PXL2 Broadheads
                        Dirt Nap Broadheads
                        Etc.

Keep her the hell away from mechs.

You did bro. Can they kill? Yep. But at that draw weight and draw length pretty soon she is gonna get a severe lack of penetration and loose an animal. Then she likely will want to shy away from bow hunting. Rage 40KE's are made for atleast 40 pounds of Kenetic Energy plus.

I agree with Ragin' and the Magnus Stinger is hard to beat. Great heads and unbelievable warranty. I killed my first deer with one.

That said, the Muzzy 3-blades get it done, too! I shoot 60# draw, fyi.

I shoot the Muzzy MX-4's.....not one complaint. Speed doesn't kill animals, well placed razor sharp broad heads do!!
