Couple of things to remember before you switch.
When you go to a smaller peep, it will allow less light and it cuts your shooting time down a little. At dusk / dawn it gets a little tuffer to see thru.
I'm no help for brand.
When you go to an 1/8 you kind of have to go off what you can find.
I've always shot G5 but I like the red eye ones too. A peep isn't that complex. As long as the hole is concentric, the grooves are cut at the right angle, and it's strong enough to not crush, I'm happy
I shoot 3/16. In low light, I can't see through it well, but I have a secret... Always keep your bow arm in the same spot, and I use the same anchor with a secondary anchor with the string on the corner of my mouth. I shoot both eyes open. I've found doing this, the peep isn't really necessary. Put the pin on target and release. I've killed plenty in low light that way, and transition to that when I'm shooting in the yard in the evening.
