    Question

yesterday while pulling bow up into stand I got sand on the bottom cam of my bow. Tried blowing as much out as I could and once I got back to the house tried using a keyboard gas duster. I only used it for a short time because I was afraid that I would blow the sand deeper into the grove of the cam. I am planning replacing the strings at the end of the season. Is it something I should worry about now? There is still sand between the string and cam.
    Thanks

I jam mine in the dirt and set the binos across the top cam to steady them. Never worried about it. I might be more concerned about the person I was hunting with if his bottom cam wasn't dirty.
Shoot it, it will come out

Every bow I've hunted with has been covered in sand at one time or another. (Sand is basically all there is around here)

      You'll be good. Keep shooting!!

They use sand for "sandpaper", "sandblasting"... it will wear anything out. I would clean it out of my equipment. Draw your bow and have someone else shoot the air can in there.

How much damage will it do? Probably not much, but I like keeping my things really clean.

thanks for the info. I was thinking about drawing it and have someone blow it out, going to do that this evening. Really appreciate the help. Just didnt want to cause more damage that could be avoided. Thanks again this forum rocks!!
