how long before you change out a bow string?

i know this is a bad time to be thinking about this, with the start of deer season upon us, and all. But there are a couple of spots on my bow string where the nylon serving is starting to spread, it aint that bad yet, but i just don't want it to get worse, too quick. i will post a couple pictures in a few minutes, but i just wanted to get y'all's thoughts on this.
    thanks

When it starts looking used, change it! I have had one blow up at full draw I promise you do not want to experience it!

I would change it! No reason to risk getting hurt and ruining a good bow

Depends on the string. Had a hunting bow that I sold earlier this year that had the factory string still on it. It was a 2009/2010 bow. My 3d target bow just went thru the second 3d season with the same string and is now sighted in to hunt with this year. Might change it after hunting season this year.
If not stretching or wearing real bad no sweat. Just about all bows will do what you pictured, even new bows still on the rack.

Most manufactures suggest you change your strings each year. Most people are getting 2 years. Good luck.

I change mine out every two years unless there is signs of wear

I change mine every year. Mainly cuz I do a ton of shooting and hunting. That and a set of strings aren't to bad compared to havin to buy I new bow if it blows up due to string wear. So to me it easier to have em changed.

Mine looked worse when I changed it a couple of months ago. It was the original factory string from a 2009 Iceman and it started seperating some in the first year.

Every year some times less just depends on how much shooting and hunting I do.

I suggest once a year for safety reasons. You can go longer depending upon wear and tear. Some people don't use their bows much so they don't get exposed to the elements and last longer.
