    am I the only one......

that has a problem with 2"blazer vanes? all I've ever shot were 3"feathers. last year I decided I wanted to try the blazers. I bought a Arizona mini Fletcher and went to town putting them on all my arrows. when I went to shoot them they shot good with my field tips, so I went on to broadhead tune. here's the problem, I can't get my bow to broadhead tune with the blazers. my arrows are constantly hitting 2-3"to the right and won't get any closer. that's using 4 different types of heads, muzzy, buzzcuts, hellrazors, and slick tricks. at first I thought it was my arrows. so I went to bowzone and talked to Richard. he recommended the Easton fmj's which was what I wanted anyways. he insisted that I needed the 400's, which I kinda of thought I needed the 340's cz I'm right on the line between the two according tho the Easton chart(70lb 28"draw). so I said ok and went home and started over. paper tuned walk back and then on to broadhead tune. same problem constantly hitting 2-3"to the right. so I tried some with feathers and the only ones I could get to shoot good we're the hellrazors. but once I got field tips and broadheads hitting together, my broadheads flew perfect but my field tips kinda had a wobble in flight. so I got impatient and just hunted like that. didn't have any problems taking my deer. so this year about a month ago I needed sine more arrows and this time got the 340 fmjs. got home and put blazers on 6 and feathers on 6. I started over, tuning with the blazers and the same problem as last time, couldn't get my broadheads any closer than 2-3" to the right no matter how far I adjusted my rest. so I started over with the feathers and again I could only get the hellrazors to tune with field points. but the same problem as with the 400's, broadheads fly perfect but field points have a wobble. to say I'm bummed and confused is an understatement. so is this just normal or do I have a problem with my bow. I really like the blazers cz I tear up my feathers to fast but I can't get them to work. by the way I had the issue with flight with the blazers as I did with the feathers. specs are 2010 diamond black ice flx 70lb 28dl and the arrows are cut to 27".

I never had a problem with them using my mechanical heads. Personally I would shoot the 3" vanes with fixed broad heads. Not sure if it makes a difference but personal experience longer vanes shot better with fixed broadheads. Not sure if this helps but

Sounds like you have some sort of contact, especially if you are tearing up feathers, which are a lower profile.

Also have you tried adjusting draw weight to see if the point of impact changes any? That will tell you a lot about your arrow set up spine wise.

I seriously doubt that just changing from feathers to vanes is the root cause of your issues.

no contact issues. I'm tearing feathers from hitting them with other arrows while shooting. I'm not saying that it is necessarily the vanes that are causing it. I know that feathers can help mask a lot of problems that vanes can't because they steer the arrow better. that's what I'm asking is it just the vanes or is aiming wrong with my bow. forgot to mention that I got new winners choice strings put on around November last year. but I have well over 500 shots on them. so maybe some adjustments need to be made?
