    Moving Peep

I need to move the peep up on a new to me bow. whoever put the peep in did a really good job tieing it in and either burned the tips or added some wax to the ties. Any tips on how to remove the knots or tips on how to slip the knots up?

cut the tie and tie it back up with serving thread. If you don't have serving thread, dental floss will work in a pinch. Note that moving the peep up may affect rotation. If it's just a small bit, you can use your D loop to pull it in line until you can get the bow pressed to get the rotation right.

If you're asking this question, you should take it to a bow shop. I'm not bashing you. I just went through this but needed to go down with my peep.

u can use needle nose piers to undo the burnt part of knot by squeezing the burnt part a couple of times.........

I am a novice so take this for what it's worth... The last time I had a peep installed the guy used some kind on wrap/knot that Would slide on the string... Seem to work good as I have been a le to make small adjustments as the string has stretched a bit...

Get a needle and slide it under the serving away from the string and just snip the serving. Move your peep up or down. Then reserve the peep in place. Like someone mentioned above it may not line up properly. If that is the case, your gonna have to put a twist into the string or take one out to align the peep. Good luck.

if you are at all nervous just take it in.

it will without question change the poi for your pins. You will need to start over

less then 1 hour job start to finish including re-sighting of the 20 yard. Your pin gap will stay the same so just move the entire housing up and down for the elevation change

Having a pro shop do it is cheaper than damaging a string trying to do it yourself.

Thanks for all the help guys. Got it moved last night. Just need to pick up some string today so I can tie it back in. Wasnt hard at all, I was just nervous about getting something sharp close to the string, not about how to actually do the work.
