I have had my bow for several years now and have recently decided to go bow only. In the past I have never shot my bow often enough. I have been shooting quite a bit over the past few months and have been noticing some slight arrow movement. I recently bought some ST Mags and when I shot them I noticed quite a bit of movement. I decided to make a homemade paper tune and here are the results.

The first 2 shots were at approx 20ft and they are at the top of the pic. Then I backed out to 15 yards and I had a tear to the right. I backed out to 20 yards and didnt have a tear. I did it again with a different paper and got a tear at 15 but not 20. Is this because of a weak spine or could it be the positioning of my rest?

I may be wrong but I thought the point of paper tuning was to see how the arrow is flying right off your bow. Don't you need to be real close to the target?

That may be correct...im a beginner! I can see my arrow flying crooked and used paper to show me what was happening. Just trying to figurenout why and how to fix it. Either way I'll be headed to the bow shop

You need to paper tune up close. 20 yards down range the arrow has probably already tried to correct itself a few times...so you really can't pinpoint anything.
