Which Rage?

First off I'm not trying to start crap on this thread. I know this is a hot button topic. I have been shooting Slick Trick mags for 5 years now and I would like to try a expandable BH that's not a over the top deployment. I shot Rages when they first came out had had great success. The only thing I didn't like about them was there tip. I've shot about 50+- deer with the Rage and never had a failure to deploy or a premature deployment. So I'm down to buy the Chisel Tip extreme or the Hypodermic. What says y'all?

if you have shot 50 +/- with no failures, why switch. if it aint broke dont fix it imo

I'm going to try the new rage chisel tips... I never shot the original rage as I heard way too many stories of bad penetration when hitting the shoulder blade. Now, there are NO complaints about the actual hole it delivers as the blades are awesome.

Have you considered shwackers? It's over the top but they don't deploy until inside. In my theory, saving critical KE and sharpness for the important stuff.

I agree with not fixing what's been working.

I wanted to try Slick tricks. I've shot 50+-deer with them also.

Sot my deer last year with the chisel tips. Went through the ribs so the tip didn't have much work to do but unlike the old tips, all it needs is new blades and no new tip

I'm trying the hyperdrmic I've used the old rages for years with no problem but I'm a sucker for new stuff so I switched.

I love the originals but am going to try the hypodermic this year. One thing I learned about the shock collar rage though is you MUST line the arrow on the bottom of the collar up with one of the blades or they will NOT open. line it up and they open every time

I have used the Hypos and I was a rage hater big time... well two dead pigs later with giant wound channels thru some bone and the head was perfect when I pulled it out the dirt. I will continue to use the Hypos!

And I have killed big pigs with the Reaper and 3 deer with Shwackers last year all good heads don't get me wrong but I like 2 blades vs 3 and the entrance and exit I got from the Hypo's was better than the Shwackers.

Try the rage hypo's. Shot huge Canadian black bear with them earlier this year and he piled up within sight. Huge wound channel and awesome blood trails. A set of new blades and the broadhead was ready for round 2.
