Not an extreme, but had a zxt 26.5/60. Shot a 392gr arrow at 255fps. Sold it cause mamma needed new tires. Really a sweet shooter.

I had a 60#'er with a 28" draw length shooting a 440 grain arrow getting a blistering 250 fps! that thing was a creepin'! sweet shooting bow though, real dead in the hand but slow as all get out!

At 60lbs/28" why such a heavy arrow?

I havent put mine on the cronagraph but I sighted in my spott hog single pin the other day on my Z7 extreme 27" draw and 65lbs. put it down on the sight tape and im a little bit over 250. Seems pretty slow but hey it'll work.

17.1% foc and at that weight absolutely crushing not to mention it took the rest of the noise out of what was already a very quiet bow.

Please excuse my simplicity as I am just a roofer, but what is foc?

forward or front (depending on who you talk to) of center. the amo formula is probably the most popular but it is simply the point at which the arrow balances itself. foc is a function of shaft grains per inch and weight on the front and rear of the arrow. higher foc arrows usually tend to be a little more forgiving, require less fletching and hit a little harder while giving better penetration. there is a lot of debate as to where you start to see the benefits and at what % it starts to yield diminishing returns.

i've built a lot of arrow combinations but i simply feel i get better accuracy with a higher foc. while 17+% is considered high there are people shooting on the upside of 20%.

the above link is a more detailed explanation on the subject, its a good read check it out.

The lack of valley. If I even thought about relaxing it wanted to jump out of my hands.
