    Fixed broadlhead tuning

So I just started to try out my fixed blades and I am shooting about 3" high. What does this tell me as far as anything goes or just adjust my sights/ aim?

Where are your field points hitting in relation?

If your FPs are 3" below the BHs your nocking point is to low.

            How much of an adjustment?

Start with small adjustments like 1/16th of an inch. I had the same issue this morning bare shaft tuning from 3" high and it took less than 1/4" to bring it in, but I was shooting new strings also.

Will this effect my field point point of impact?

Oh and thanks for the link. Saw that in another thread and have it open in another window

Yeah, you will have to adjust your sights once you get the BHs and FPs hitting around the same place.

Are you using more than one brand of the fixed blade when sighting in?

No the same one. Cheep o Alens. Need to invest in better ones when a check comes in.

I started out with Allen's back in the day. I could never hold a pattern with those what so ever. Not sure how far they have come since 2004 but if nothing has changed then yes, invest in some better broadheads no doubt.

May I suggest a Slick Trick?

Sometimes you have to turn the arrow (position of fletching) to fine tune them. Sometimes I will take the BH off of the arrow and try it on another arrow to see if I have the same problem.
