Here is what I use. Hit each blade 5 or 6 strokes with a carbide sharpener like mentioned above. Then use a leather strop with yellow stone stropping compound. Pull each side of the blade down the strop about 10 times and you will have a polished razor sharp edge. The carbide sharpener will take the nicks and dings off and put a pretty good edge on the blade. The leather strop and stropping compound will put a super sharp, super fine edge on the blade. You need a small clamp to hold the blade. You can get a clamp at Home Depot. I have posted this technique and pictures on TBH in the past.
