    Sharpening Slick Tricks

I've got an entire package worth of 100 gr slick trick magnum blades that need to have an edge put back on them. I dont own a lansky, and Ive never had very much luck with the smiths broadhead sharpener. Would anyone who has resharpened these blades before be willing to help me out? I will pay for shipping and throw in a little something for the trouble!

For what it would cost to ship to someone and throw in a little something you could buy a lansky and get some experience doing this. I've never sharpened them with my lansky so I couldn't help you on the ease of this. I just buy a new package when the others dull. Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck

A carbide knife sharpener will put a quick edge on them.

I hold my blade with a medical pliers (like the needle nose that lock) and sharpen with a carbide cutter..

Smiths Brodhead Sharpener. Academy. $10. Works better than all the high dolkar sharpening crap I have. The teeth are, exposed so you do not need to take the head off the arrow. Also has a built in broad head wrench. Its works like a Lansky but the teeth being exposed makes it easier to use.

How quick do you need them? I lansky them and they are sharper than new. And by package worth, you mean 6 blades?

I use this TruAngle stone, and it's razor sharp in a minute or two. You don't even take the bh off the arrow. Get the R-4 for a 4 blade or an R-3 for 3 blade heads.

Why? You can dull ones just as lethal as new ones. Been doin it since before he was using Lutzs class german stainless.

I've sharpened mine using a Lansky. To be honest with ya, you oughta just go pick up a Lansky kit (with the a Saphire stone) and so it yourself. In 30 minutes you can have them all sharper than new. And then you can start on the knives, scissors, and whatever else you can find to put an edge on.
