    Arrow fish tailing

Well got the new creed home and supposed to be paper tuned. Sighted in at 20. Couldn't tell, everything looked good. Got to 30 and can see my arrow tailing, not bad though. Got to 40, and its BAD!! Clearance is good. What else could it be? Think it needs to go back to paper? I don't want to have to pay anyone to this. Any tips? I'm lost on this one!

          Spine?

If all is good with the setup and it is paper tuned you may be torquing the bow. If you are it will get worse and worse with distance also.. Make sure not to grip the bow and shoot with a relaxed hand.

Bow is cradled in the pocket on my hand, no torque. I'm thinking its not perfect paper tuned. Any quick homemade setup I can do to accomplish checking this myself?

My helim was doing the same thing your best bet is to "walk back tune" that will tell you if your center shot is off meaning you need to move your rest right or left. i have been told that the walk back tuning gives you a more accurate reading than paper tuning. Just go to youtube and type in walk back tuning.

Check your nocks to see if they are too tight on the string. Mine was doing the same thing. Tried walk back and paper tuning. No help. Switched to Bohning double nocks and problem solved.

Thx for the tips guys. I'm shooting off a qad and brand of arrows are Easton axis 340. 9.5gpi. I will check out the walk back tuning. My knocks don't seem to be to tight, but will check that out aswell. I see a lot of guys that have perfect flight on there arrows and that's what I'm shooting for. My last bow was tuned good and shot great but I'm looking for perfection out of this one.

Look at the link I posted and look into bare shaft tuning.

Are you sure it isn't just an optical illusion? Are you having inconsistent shots at longer ranges?
