    Best string silencers? Discuss

Soi just bought a new vector 32, and the bow tech said all I need is some cat whiskers on it and it'll be perfect. I thought the bow was pretty quiet without the whiskers, but I did put a monkey tail on it that I had laying around. I really dont like putting anything on my string because im a speed freak, but i do understand that unless you can shoot a bow at mach 1 you need it to be quiet. My question is, what do you guys think are the best string silencers and why?

Hell, Im not gonna shoot em anymore with these great string stops that are out now.

Now on my recurve I prefer beaver or musk ox.

nothing better then cheap old cat whiskers

I have to use other stuff because of the configurations of bows, monkey tails is what i use now.

Arrow with some weight first. If you just have to use something then cat whiskers

I like the monkey tails. Easy on and off if needed, cheap, and color choices

Nothing beats cat whiskers. You can get them in any colors you want.

A quality custom string will go a long way in quieting down your bow and possibly getting some extra speed as well.

Jon has put whiskers on all my bows. He serves them on to the string well and he can make any color combo for ya. I recommend cat whiskers over any other silencer

Everyone...almost...has said cat whiskers. Interesting. What about bowjax? They are really good for quieting down a bow. Cheers!

I only got a cable dampener on mine other than the speed nocks. What did you replace yours with???
