    When to start practicing...

With broadheads? I've shot every day for 3 1/2 months now with field points. (I shoot off and on througout the year). I recently paper-tuned (with field points) and itching for season like every year. My question is this. With BHs being so expensive, when do you start practicing with them? Ive got no dull ones. I'm shooting slick trick 100s this year. Any tips welcome.

Always.. Replacement blades are cheap compared to new heads.. You want to make sure you stay tuned for broadheads

I buy extra blades and shoot one set of blades in a target. the rest go on arrows and don't get shot unless it's an animal.

Couple at each distance whenever you shoot.. I don't shoot everyday but shoot my heads anytime I do

Any small change can get you out of tune with your broadheads and not notice with fps.. String stretch, bump the rest, etc.

I shoot field points and 1-2 Broadheads every set of arrows I shoot.
I shoot Broadheads first to avoid a Robin Hood . ( messed up one arrow two weeks ago like this)

I shoot every arrow I plan to put in my quiver. Having an elk in front of me is not when I want to find out I have a bad nock, weak shaft, or a vane that may fall off.

My bow is tuned to the same impact so I just practice with field points. Prior to going I will shoot two BHs and upon arrival I will shoot two for confirmation.

Mine is too but the reason I always practice is if my broadhead starts hitting off I know something is up but fp won't always tell you that your broadheads will be off.
