    New B.Nocs

Am looking to buy a "real" pair of binoculars this year after discarding a cheap pair of Bushnells. Looking for something good for 100-200 yds in low light. Probably 10 x 42, but will take advice. I borrowed a set of Leupold's at an outfitter's place last year and they were great, but I can't remember the model. Would like to stay under $350. Any ideas for the novice?

I bought my son a pair of Lepould Rouge 10X50 for around $150. Good binos (not top line, but good) and a good value. I suggest doing an online search and read some reviews on different brands, models and sizes. If you wear eyeglasses pay attention to eye relief.

Also alot of good reviews on here for Vortex binos. A member on TBH is a dealer and offers a discount to other members I think.

imo the best bnocks for the money, hands down, are the nikon action 10x50. im a huge fan of the 50 mm lens. they work very well under low light conditions. the drawback is that they are pretty big. retail $100.

I believe that Bruntons are the best binos out there,I have a pair of the Eterna's at 11x45,before I bought them I put them up against Swazo's,Nikon's,and the Brunton's by far had the best glass....

Leupold Rogues 10 x 50. An outdated model at about $275, roughly $200 less than this year's line, and just as good. You'll see em this Thanksgiving weekend.

X2. Leupold has great warranty service also.

Alpen - and they are having a killer of a sale. Voted for 7 years in a row as the best buy for optics from Outdoor Life. And, they have a no questions asked lifetime warrenty on everything they sell. I don't know of anyone in the business that has that.
