Pop-up platform?

Any of yall ever built yourself a platform to put your pop-up on?

This will be my first year to hunt out of one, and I had a buddy tell me I should build some kind of wooden platform to put in on to keep snakes and critters out of it.

I've never heard of doing that before, just wanted to get some opinions.

Funny you asked, I am building one today. Mine is going to be 8ft tall. Did all the cuts today, going to put it together in the field later this week.

I used one last season for the first time and it worked very well. If you do a search in the DIY section you should find several platform builds.

i made mine about knee high, just enough to keep the snakes out.
