    Cracked/Split Limb?

The bow is an older model Hoyt. All I'm wanting to do with the bow is convert it into a bowfishing rig. My question is, if I were to crank the amount of weight I'm pulling back to like 35lbs., would this be safe? SMART? Open for suggestions.

How old is that bow...what model?
I don't think it would be smart to shoot it that way. I don't recognize which bow that is but I'm guessing new limbs would cost more the that bow it worth.

It is an older bow, unsure what year, at least 10+. I have been told that new limbs would cost me more than what it's worth. By the looks of it, the brand is a Hoyt Enticer...Click image for larger version

That bow was made in 1997.

          IMO....I wouldn't mess with it.

I would call Hoyt and ask them If they would make it right and replace them for free.
              Worth a try!!!

I sure the heck wouldn't shoot it like that.

                  I wouldn't use it.

when ever issues like this occur, Hoyt says they can take care of it, but need original proof of purchase....which is usually where the process ends

sorry to give you bad news. Id rather see that bow collect dust than hear about your visit to the hospital when that thing gave out. Even at 35 pounds, those limbs still have some pop in them that could hurt.
