Always found that bow performs best when maxed out. Have always shot with mine cranked all the way up somewhere between 73 and 75#. Build up strength and shoot at lb that is comfortable to use. Practice often but not for a terrible long time. Fatigue = bad form, bad form = bad habits, this can make your shooting go bad and decrease your confidence.

60# simply becuase it was that way when I had the bow given to me. If I can pull back and hold 60 pretty comfortably, should I consider moving it up? I"m still a rookie bow hunter...

Jesus. Do you solely hunt elephants or what?

71 @ 30. If the made 80 pound limbs I would step up.

I had my Bowtech tightened all the way up to about 75, and gradually worked down to the high 50s. Makes a huge difference in my draw and hold. Just wonderful to shoot. As the guy at KC's said, when we were talking about this obsession with poundage and speed, "how far do you want your arrow to travel after it passes through that deer?"

                              70. Had it down to 60 at the end of last season but built some heavier arrows. Wanted my fps back up.
