    Mathews Limb just split...

I've been shooting everyday getting ready for my Elk hunt in 4 weeks and my limb just splintered. It isn't splintered deep but seems like a little deeper than the paint right along the edge. Really disappointed, hopefully can get it replaced under warranty but now won't be able to practice for 2 weeks...

Good thing you have 4 weeks, but this is prime example why a person should always have two bows.

Z7 Extreme...my other bow is a G5 Quest. I might use it as an excuse to upgrade and sell this one, although that is NOT what i wanted to do for a few more years.

I had one barely start on my switchback a few years ago. They put 2 new limbs on it. No hassles.

My Z7 limb split last November the day before I was to leave to go hunting. Went to the shop and they warrantied it and bought a helim so I could hunt. Killed a nice buck two days later.

Exact reason I always have a back up bow ready at all times! What draw weight do you shoot and what arrow weight do you shoot?

typical Mathews JK, if your thinking about a new bow try out all the bows.. PSE Hoyt Bowtech Martin and so on.

really bad timing, you shouldn't have any issues getting it fixed. get to your dealer asap.

Man, sorry for the hassle. And Mathews to boot. I wouldn't have thought, nor have I ever heard of one doing this. I've got 2 that are 14 and 15 years old and have never had a problem.
