    Bow is getting louder

I just bought a brand new bow (Matthews Chill) last weekend. Been shooting it consistently since Monday. Crazy quiet....well it was

Last night my wife was watching me and she said "wow did it get louder"?

I had the same thought the night before...

I have tightened every screw possible. but still get a loud thud...

Am I over looking something or do I need to take back to the shop?

    have a QAD rest

strings might be stretching out, id take it back and have them look at the timing

also make sure your rest is not slapping your bow when shooting.

gotta love those mathews oem threads!

seriously though, the bow is probably out of spec and needs to have a twist or two put in to fix the issue. a bow getting loud is almost always the sign of string/cable creep.

Are you shooting in the same location? Garage? Yard? Under a cover? Different places can amplify bow noise....

But, more than likely your zebras are stretching out.

i had a set of zebra cuda's on my outback................never again. no amount of shooting would ever settle them in.

I had a zxt. Bought it from rbo. He said shoot it about 2-300 times and bring back to check specs. Mine was fine. Idk, but here may be u an excuse for custom strings

This is why I shoot a hoyt.... Jk! It's prolly the string stretch problem. Just take it to your local pro shop and have them check it out

Might me the QAD rest? Release the rest with your thumb a couple times and see if it duplicates the sound.
