Mini Fridge or Cooler for long hunts?

Hey I want to see what y'all's opinion on keeping food and drinks cold in the deerstand. I would like to have a mini fridge it at possible. Is there a have to use solar panels to run a mini fridge and keep food and beverages cold?

Possibly even run a portable DVD player for friends/family that have an "impatience/can't sit still" disorder! Haha

Just want them to enjoy the outdoors and ease into it.

I'm sure it's possible to hook a solar panel up to a mini fridge, I think there will be more to it then just hooking it up directly though. There would have to be something in-line to direct the overcurrent for those sunny days away from the fridge otherwise it would burn up the motor I would think? How long do you sit in the stand? For an afternoon, or even from lunch time until dark, a cooler and ice has always worked fine for me. Small and easy to carry, if the ice melts, the water left behind is still cold for a few hours. As for the dvd player, tell them to put videos on their iphone/ipod and bring ear buds.

Oh ok. How do you get DVDs on iPhones or iPads...Can you transfer them from laptop? Maybe I could just buy a 10-12" small portable DVD player with a set of earplugs for them to stay entertained. The things I gotta do to keep them going hunting! LoL it's all about passing it on. I mean I don't have kids yet, but I want my family/friends to enjoy it as well.

I dont know if you can upload movies off of your laptop or not. But I know you can buy movies off of itunes. A portable dvd player that runs on batteries probably would be cheaper if you already have dvds...

That's what I'm thinking about doing. Having a backpack for carrying snack/ DVD Player and have small ice chest for drinks and food. That should keep them occupied! Haha

Car battery, solar panel, voltage regulator, inverter, dvd player, tv and a Yeti.

not sure how many amps the fridge would pull, but an ac/dc inverter with a car battery would handle the dvd player I'm sure.

The small dc fridges for your vehicles I've heard work good, all you would need is a battery and solar charger. Should run all weekend like that. I run my dvd and charge cell phones in the stand like this now.

I'm liking these ideas! If anybody has pictures of their deerstand appliances post them.

an application called WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. and a lot of reading. once you have ripped to the appropriate format use ITunes to upload it. With the right android app you can even watch it on android devices.
