    working with my daughter

Been working with my daughter and her shooting. I know the string is not on her nose but it is because of her glasses. Other than that, I think her draw is still too long. What do you guys think?

I agree. I think the draw is too long. I believe it is about 1" too long.

X2. It looks like her head is dipped a little. Also, have her relax her front hand to help with torque. My girls do the same, so I gently remind them when I see it. Love seeing the kiddos shooting their bows.

Extend the front arm before you move the draw lenght. TRy to get her straight from the right elbow to the left hand.

                Ok,
I shortened her draw by 1". same situation but form looking better. I had her shoot with both eyes open. BAM!!! bull's-eyes at 20yds. She is just like me, she cant put her nose to the string and see everything right. She draws and stands like me and leaves both eyes open and her grouping tightened right up with one arrow dead in the bull's-eye. If she try's to put her nose on the string she is all out of whack. Not sure where else to go with this now. I think I'm gonna have a kisser button installed like I use. Ideas?

In the pics the draw length is too long as already mentioned but also she is leaning back. Need to try to get her standing upright and and bow arm straight... then adjust DL so the string hits just at the corner of her mouth.

It's great to see you little gal shooting. Mine is 23 and just started shooting archery and loves it. Keep it up Dad, find a good bow shop near Spring, have their pro watch her, they can help.

We shoot at Bowzone. Best shop I have ever been too. They have 6 or 7 pros at least. Just getting other opinions. They love her there and ask where she is if she is not with me when I show up to shoot. They treat every customer as if they were family. What else could you ask for. By the way, my daughter is ten. I am the archery instructor for her girlscout area out here.

Great job Larry! Little girls love spending quality time with their Daddy's and enjoy hearing their Daddy's tell them how great they are doing and how proud Daddy is. You are definitely giving her something very important-----Your Time.

                        Well done

I think that her nocking point looks low. It seems as the arrow is pointing upwards in relation to the bow. You can also tell that her release is pulling up on string instead of straight back. Raising the nock point would fix this as long as you can raise the rest also.

Either this or move the peep. It seems a little high causing her anchor to be low. Just my 0.02 but great job on getting her out and shooting!

Does she struggle to draw? Looks like she is leaning back, usually indicating that draw weight is just a bit high.
