Wanting to get a new set but how do you know which would be best? Going on a Destroyer 340. Hate the factory grips, have a little torque occasionally but mostly really uncomfortable. Thanks for any input.

Is that grip slick or a little sticky and softer rubber? IMO I will never wrap a grip. It will create more torque problems than you have now. And with side plates you will be shooting off the riser, and you will actually gain some draw length. Looks like about 1/4 inch at least. So that might affect your anchor point.
A nice solid, slick grip is best for me, especially when wearing gloves. It helps the bow settle to the correct location in your hand, and keeps the grip torque away. Torqueless grips are just normal grips with rounded edges to keep the grip from diggin into your hand.
Have you tried removing your grip and shooting it that way? That would be like having side plates.

Because they prefer the feel of a full grip. I prefer a thin grip so I prefer sideplates to full wood grips....but torqueless does a good job keping the full grips thin.
They can also adjust wrist angle with the way they sculpt the wood....either low, mid or high wrist grips. Can't do that with sideplates.

I was in the same situation as you with my Outlaw. What I ended up doing was going to Lowes and buying some 1/4" thick oak. I wasn't sure if I wanted a full grip or side plates but knew I didn't like the feel of the riser. I decided to build my own plates to gauge what I thought before ordering. It wasn't hard and I like them so much I'm just going to keep what I did and save the cash. Just an idea if you're remotely handy. I don't know how to post pictures but I think it looks good.
