      Doesnt have to be. Those 1-7/8 Silver Flames are awesome. Ive seen folks shoot em off of 50 recurves and 60 pound compounds.

        I guess I meant heavy arrow. 185 grains on the end of an FMJ has got to be 520+. Not that it's bad, just curious what total arrow weight would come to.

          You can get down to about 480 with different shafts and components fairly easy.

            I shot a sika doe with one of Buff's 180 gr. Silver Flames. I screwed up and hit her right on the point of the shoulder. It sounded like a board breaking when i hit her. Rolled her over but she was able to run off. My recurve was about 49 lbs. I lost the doe but Sippy's girlfriend took her down with a rifle a week or two later. Not a lot of penetration.

                600gr total arrow weight. Shooting 300 Spine FMJ's 29 3/4" with Nockturnals out of a 29/70lb Elite. Getting right around 253fps

                          It'll happen when it happens, they don't seem to work on a schedule over there it dosnt seem.
