Strings? Best bang for your $

So I don't need new strings now but I just realized I have no idea what strings I should buy when I do need to get new ones. I am a cheap practical person and I would get the most run of the mill strings I can. All I would want is good strings that will hold up. I don't care for the super custom bright orange/magenta/lime green custom strings I see on some bows. Black or olive drab green strings would be fine by me. I don't want crap but at the same time I don't want to pay half the price of my bow for a set of strings. Is there a brand of strings or place out there that sells these lol. That being said I have a 2007 Elite Synergy with a 27" DL and 60-70 lbs limbs.

I've seen a few threads asking about certain string brands but no real rundown of the major string brands.

    Thanks in advance

I'd check out korbins. They are a site sponsor and if you follow they on Facebook they are always running "deal of the days".

I haven't tried Korbin's, but I have been using Vapor Trail's for the past 2 years. Never had an issue with them, and the current set on my GT500 still look new after at least 1000 shots or so.

I love mine. Just as good as my Winners Choice strings.

I just got a WC 8190 string put on and really like it. I don't thing you can go wrong with any custom string company out there.

there are only so many string fiber manufacturers out there...all the string makers use them...it all comes down to who gives you a good warranty, customer service, ties their servings etc better...for me that was Korbin's...

You need to make sure and use a string builder that is familiar with this bow and knows how to build for older Elites. They take extremely small loops, especially on the cables.

I have owned 6 Synergys and dealt with good and bad string sets for sure. I have also tuned a ton of older Elites.

I would use Stage 1 Strings by Wes Van Horn.

He was Elite's #1 dealer in the country back then and also happens to be one of the best string builders out there. He knows as much about these bows as anyone.
